Weather wc 17th December
I always considered that the course at Eriska could be damp but when I drove passed Dalmally golf course last week and could only see the flag flapping above the water I realized we were not the worst hit spot in Britain. The course at Dalmally must be under 4 feet of water and even some of the raised tees were not that raised!! Anyway we are predicting it is all about to change- and about time too I hear you say! Well Chay got back from holiday yesterday and thinks we have all been idle as a lot of his outdoor jobs have neither been finished nor even attempted due to the rain but at least we know the drains are working!!
A much more settled, drier and chillier look to the first half of the week for most of the UK, with plenty of dry weather around and light winds too, there is even already snow on the caps and it was just above freezing last night. However, the weather will gradually return to an unsettled mode by the end of the week and Christmas and the temperature should begin to raise- so no White Christmas!!. At the moment the prediction for Christmas is that surprise surprise - milder, unsettled conditions.
Sunday: After a dry start it will rain but clear in the evening and cold over night
Monday: A full day of dry weather but if the cloud clears overnight it will be cold even frosty
Tuesday: A cloudy overcast but dry day- maybe frost overnight
Wednesday: Sunshine breaking through the clouds but dry
Thursday: After a dry start the clouds my bring showers
Friday: A showery day
Saturday: Maybe the last totally dry day before Christmas
