Job eventually done!
One of the conditions of Chay getting a new shed for his maintenance team was that all of his storage area outside was to be cleaned up and hidden away, preferably in an organised fashion and with the absence of obsolete parts. Over the winter it is a job which we have continuously been about to finish but I am delighted to repoort that finally the time has come and the area is now much cleaner.
Initially the storage area was at the end of a cul de sac but over the years a path has developed and many guests have been using it as a short cut to the pier so it has not really been showing Eriska in the best light. But now it is pristine clean and tidy and Chay has even sorted it in his shed so it all looks organised and if we need anything it is either obvious or we need to order it from Oban!! My father was always a great hoarder keeping old machines because one day we might need part of it, this however became immaterial as we could either not find the part we needed or it was not working when we eventually did, but hopefully this is a trait that Chay and I have managed to control and we will now only keep functional machines and will endeavor to keep the store both tidy and organised

It looks great. What a difference - the walk to the pier will never be the same again.
Now, having had all of that practice, if Chay and the team have a spare moment, our garage and greenhouse could do with the same treatment.....

Blimey. We'll never recognise the place now!
