Eriska Opens its Doors for 35th Year

Smoker_013 So after a busy, but what seemed like a very quick, month of being closed Eriska is back open again and despite natures attempts to thwart our first guests of 2008 arriving all made it in last night and we awoke this morning to a dusting of snow. It does however show off our new terrace in front of the library although we have yet to see how Bertie and Brock cross it on their way home from the nightclub!.

Whilst the hotel has in essence been closed and the majority of the team have been enjoying holidays the maintenance and  reservations staff have been kept occupied. Although we were in effect closed for exactly 4 weeks (a long time in the bank managers eyes if not too long) it is relatively short by the time we wrap the house up for winter and then unwrap it at the end of the break but in reality we have achieved a great deal which will not really be seen as it is behind the scenes but will we hope be appreciated.

As always we run a wee bit behind schedule but I do believe that this year Eriska is more ready than ever for the next 12 months and the grounds and house are looking better than ever even given the time of year. Now all we need is to be busy so that all our work can be tested and put to work!
