Eriska Christening
It is hard to believe that it is nearly 9 months since Torsten Robin Buchanan-Smith was born last August but at the same time it is also hard to believe that he is only 9 months old when you see how much he has grown and the great head of hair he is sporting. Clearly he is taking after his father in one of these traits. Much has happened and changed in the hotel as well whilst we have also insured that we have alterenbd little at the heart of Eriska. Since last August the stables has a new entrance, the clay pigeon shooing a new home, the bar a new terrace and the entrance to Eriska has a welcoming gate post eiuterh side of the drive.
Anyway today is for Torsten and his parents as it is his Christening and the service is appropriately being held in the garden of Lymphoy, my mothers house. Hopefully the midges and rain will both stay away long enough for the ceremony at least and maybe even longer for the celebration. Quite aptly one of my fathers collegues from University has generously agreed to welcome him into the church and even more aptly, as he officiated both at my parents wedding- as the best man and then at his funeral as the minister.
I am certain that my father would have appreciated the circle being complete and he would have been delighted to see the Baby being officially named. Anyway organisation has been involved for some time althoughg the quick growing grass has perhaps created more work than envisaged but at least that is better than standing in puddles and mud!

Your description of Torsten seems very accurate based on a brief meeting with him on his morning walkies last month but a picture would be so much better and everyone could then see what a lovely boy he is - just like his Dad!
